What Is the Annual Hope & Heat Program?

Hope & Heat is an annual community initiative run by Absolute Heating & Air for homeowners in the Greater Pittsburgh area and surrounding communities. Our program helps connect selected households with the heat they need with a new, safe heating system completely free of charge.

Absolute Air identifies families in need and provides the equipment and support to get their heat back on. It’s about more than just installing a system; it’s about restoring comfort, safety, and dignity for people who might otherwise face winter in a cold home. 

Who Can Be Nominated?

Hope & Heat is designed for local homeowners who are truly in a tough spot and need help, including:

• Families living without a working or reliable heating system.
• Homeowners relying on unsafe space heaters or outdated, failing equipment,
• Seniors, veterans, or neighbors on a fixed income who can’t afford major repairs or replacement.
• Anyone in our service area whose situation would be significantly improved by a safe, dependable source of heat.
• Nominees must be Pennsylvania residents living within 25 miles of Pittsburgh and must own their home (rental properties are not eligible).

If you know someone whose home turns frigid every winter and who doesn’t have the means to fix it, that’s enough reason to nominate them!

How to Nominate a Family for the Hope & Heat Giveaway

It’s easy to submit a nomination in just a few minutes. Here’s how it works:

1. Open the online nomination form: Visit our official Hope & Heat nomination form here: Submit a Hope & Heat Nomination. Nominations are due on December 17th and Recipients are chosen by December 31st.
2. Share your contact information: You’ll enter a few basic details so the team can reach out if they have questions about the nomination. Don’t worry, you can stay anonymous if you don’t want your name attached to your entry.
3. Tell us about the person or family you’re nominating: The form will ask for information about your nomination’s situation, including why they’re in need, what their current heating situation looks like, and how a new system would make a difference in their lives. 
4. Submit the form: Once you’ve completed all of the required fields, all you need to do is submit the form. 
5. Recipients are chosen: We’ll review the nominations and announce the recipients on December 31st! 

It takes minutes and is without any printing, mailing, or phone calls required. Your nomination could help someone enjoy a warmer winter for the new year.
